Undergratuate Research Symposium (URS): Call for Proposals

The UMM students Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) offers an opportunity to present your research, creative work and art performances. The audience will include your peers, your faculty, your family, and reach beyond the campus community. The 2013 URS will be held Saturday, April 20.

Projects from all disciplines are invited. Types of presentations might include but are not limited to: posters, oral presentations, displays of artwork, short or abbreviated theatrical, dance or musical performances accompanied by a discussion, multimedia presentations or installations (where equipment allows).

Abstract Submission Deadline: 4:30 pm, Friday, March 1, 2013

PLEASE NOTE: "All applications to the Undergraduate Research Symposium must be accompanied by a brief statement of support from the student's project adviser. The faculty mentor should indicate:

* Confidence that the student's work will be ready to present by the URS date

* Approval of the submitted abstract/statement/proposal for publication as-is in the program book.

Project adviser recommendations should be emailed to Adele Raymond with "URS Recommendation for [Student's full name]" in the subject line."

Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length. If more time or special arrangements are needed, please request this requirement in your submission. A faculty sponsor must support the creative activity or research and its presentation.
