| 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | Travel from Morris – Lake

| 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Stop l.1: Wind energy & electric power generation in southwestern Minnesota. Visit to visitor center and presentation by personnel of Wind Energy Center. (Approximately 20 minutes at wind energy generation tower.) |
| 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. | Lunch, Lake Benton. Hole-in-the-Mountain County Park with shelter/tables/run-around area |
| 1:15 p.m.– 1:45 p.m. | Travel to Pipestone National Monument (approximately 20 miles) |
| 1:45 – 4:30 p.m. | Stop l.2: Geology and cultural history of Pipestone National Monument. Visitor’s center - small museum; carving of pipestone, significance to Native Americans, cultural history of area. Geology. (Presentation by National Park Service staff and Native American carvers). Afternoon snack approximately 3:00 p.m. |
| 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. | Travel to Blue Mounds State Park. |
| 5:00 p.m. | Stop l.3 – Blue Mounds State Park, Sioux Quartzite, buffalo herd |
| 6:00 p.m. | Camp: Blue Mounds State Park - dinner and post-dinner discussion/review of day |
