| (Parent) Great pictures!
Lots of fun to see the beginnings of an exciting day. Can't
wait to see more! |
| (Parent) Great to see
pictures and posting so early. Are we allowed to email individual
children on the site? (Comment from Pam:
There is no way for the students to receive their email while
they are on this journey. However, if you have urgent messages
to pass along, you can use the link on the home page of the
site to email Marlene Schoeneck -- available from the 'Contact
Information' link). |

| (Parent) Awesome pictures!
Enjoy reading what the kids have been up to! Looks like everyone
is having a blast! Thanks to all who have taken the time and
extra energy to share with all of us "back home!"
Wish I was there too!! :-) |
| (PP student) This is
a cool web site. |
| (PP student) Add more
pictures. (This comment came in from three
students in a row. They may not have used the 'Daily Journals'
link to see the photos and journals, so a statement was added
to the top of the home page to attract visitors to the photos
and Daily Journals). |
| (UMM staff) Heard about
fom Peter, last year. It really chokes me up (and makes me smile)
to come to this site and see that the trip this year is really
happening and the students are having a great time exploring
the wild west! This is exactly what Peter would have wanted
for all of you. |
| (PP student) My mom
reminded me to check it out and see what all the 8th graders
are up to. It's really neat to see my friends in all these cool
places, and finding many different kinds of rocks. Also the
pictures are just fantastic. It sure looks and sounds like those
guys are having a lot of fun. |

| (Parent) What an awesome
experience for these kids. It looks like they are having the
time of their lives. I want to thank all the parents and adults
that have given of their time to be chaperones on this great
trip. You have done alot for them. This will be a wonderful
memory always. Thanks again. Wish I were along. |
| (PP teacher) I've enjoyed
all of the pictures (great photographers) and the journal entries.
Keep up the great work, have fun, and continue to be good!!
See you all on Monday. |

| (Parent) This is a
great web-site and appreciate all the time everyone has taken
to make this available to the friends and families back home.
Looking back through the week though, I might add a suggestion.
It would have been kinda neat to see some more pictures of
the kids at camp as well as on their adventures! There seems
to be more pictures of the U of M students than the 8th graders.
A little more variety would be a nice addition. It looks like
everyone is having fun! (Check out the
Friday Journal for lots more pictures -- including some camp
shots). |
| (Parent) Everyone looks
like they are having fun. I too would like to thank everyone
who helped make this a lifetime experience for this group of
kids. I know Peter is with them in spirit. |
| (Parent) Looks like
they all had a fun trip. South Dakota is a great place to experience.
Good job on the organization of this adventure they will never
forget. More camping photo's would of been neat to see them
setting up tents etc.... Thanks for the opporunity to send the
8th graders on this trip. |

| ( PP student - on
the trip) This was an awesome trip. I know from experience
dude. The Bowling Green people were awesome and the trip was
awesome. Mrs. Shoeneck has been the only teacher to give our
class a chance and nobody can thank her enough for giving
us that chance. |
| (Chaperone, Larry
Roberts) I think this is the best way to keep things rolling
for the kids and get others involved. "The trip is my
most favorite vacation ever." It's not easy to teach a
50 year old man that there are beautiful and wonderful things
to see and investigate. It gave me a whole new outlook on our
planet. Everytime I look down now, its not just dirt its an
adventure. The UMMers are wonderful kids. I enjoyed them so
much. Everyone on our trip gets 'two thumbs up' from me. Thank
you all for an experience I will never forget. |
