| 11:15 a.m.– 11:45 a.m. | Travel to Pipestone National Monument (approximately 20 miles) |
| 11:45 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. | Stop l.2: Geology and cultural history of Pipestone National Monument. Visitor's Center - carving of pipestone and trail geology |
| 2:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. | Travel to Devils Gulch (approximately 30 miles) |

| 3:30 – 5:00 | Stop 4.3: Mineral collecting |
| 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. | Return to camp (KOA), Hot Springs. |
