As advisors, you may approve enrollment in more than 14 credits for a student on probation, but include the maximum number of credits approved when you release the hold.
Release your advisee's holds
GRADUATION PLANNER
When students plan for a program (major, minor, licensure) that has not been declared, the most recent catalog is always used.
Students who create a plan' using Graduation Planner can view APAS that includes these planned courses if APAS is run from within the Graduation Planner system. Advisers can view the same APAS for advisees from within Graduation Planner.
Note planned courses have a grade of PL to distinguish them from other courses.
APAS with planned courses will have a false GPA because a grade of C is assigned to PL until an actual grade is earned.
Academic Alerts
may be submitted throughout the term. Use the left navigation link on this page.
APAS
Enhancements to boost GPA calculation in majors by selecting best graded courses and excluding F grades where possible (e.g. electives) please report anomalies to Clare Strand.
Major GPA is in a separate box that excludes transfer courses.
Secondary Education licensure is tracked separately from degree requirements and includes transfer courses in the GPA calculation. This is in accordance with state regulations.
Residency requirement revised to match changes approved by assembly effective for students following the fall '07 catalog.
UMM Honors is tracked separately from degree requirements.
AREAS OF CONCENTRATION
All self designed majors or minors require approval on official forms. APAS will be available after the approved area is entered on student's record.
Templates for Peace Studies, Sports Management, International Studies, etc. are not in Graduation Planner and cannot be declared majors because they are not programs approved by the Board of Regents. What-If prototype APAS will become available in the near future.
