Mid-Term Alert

Under current advising policy, UMM faculty are encouraged to alert all students in their classes who are earning a C- or less at mid-term. The University has provided a web-based system to notify students and their advisors, but other methods of notification may be used.

The web reporting system is made available for a three-week period each semester, beginning in week 6.

  • Available from 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday of week 6 through midnight on Friday of week 8. This time frame is consistent with the Senate policy and will allow faculty who want to issue an earlier alert to do so.
  • Unavailable from 4:00 a.m. - 5:30 a.m. Monday-Saturday and from 4:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday for system backup.

Send a mid-term alert:

  • Go to https://onestop2.umn.edu/gradealerts/introHelp.html . This page explains the Twin Cities policy (different from UMM).
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Continue to section selection."
  • Log in, using your Internet ID and X.500 password.
