Dropping Classes
Before dropping any classes, students should be aware that there might be other ramifications. Check with the Financial Aid Office if you have questions about your aid, or with the Business Office about your tuition, fees, refund; consult the checklist about other ways dropping classes may impact your college career.
Weeks 1 - 2*
Through the 2nd week of class, each class a student drops will be removed from the student's record.
Weeks 3 - 9*
The 3rd through the 9th week of class, each class a student drops will stay on their record with a grade of "W" (withdrawn).
Weeks 10 - last day of class*
After the 9th week of class, students may use the One Time Only Drop Form to drop a single course with no questions asked. When the student officially withdraws from the class, a "W" will appear on the student's transcript for this class. If the student simply stops attending the class, the grade earned will appear on the transcript.
Extenuating Circumstances
Students who can document non-academic reasons for withdrawing after the 9th week of class should use this Petition Form.
*Specific dates can be found on the Deadlines page (including half-semester classes)
