Bush IT Core Group Meeting

Present: Pam Gades, Engin Sungur, Roger Boleman, Brady Alsaker, Katherine Benson, Karen Cusey

Absent: Pam Solvie, Paul Myers

Discussed Bush IT Core Group Membership; Sungur noted a member is on Sabbatical this semester. Sungur will talk to her and ask if she wishes to continue or if we should look for a replacement.

Teaching and Learning Conference

• 3 proposal submitted

Sungur said additional funding for project support is available from TC – support for eight projects at $2500 each.

Project Discussion & Evaluation

• Received seven projects
• Gades and Cusey will submit the eight project; this is the continuation of last year’s Innovative Teaching project (Seven Principals of Learning and Teaching. Benson, interested in developing a Wikki or portal, has agreed to be involved with the project.
• Members began evaluating projects, evaluations will continue at the February 7 meeting. Members should complete project evaluations and submit to the Faculty Center; Pederson will compile all comments for each project and send to project participants for additional details of project.

TEL Council

Sungur reported the TEL Council can provide support for interesting projects; asked for ideas. He said funding can be used for equipment and software needed for the projects.

Benson will send members information regarding the 2S3R and SQ3R Learning Methods.

The Bush IT Core Group meeting is scheduled for February 7, 10:00-11:00 AM at the Faculty Center.
