UMM's Undergraduate Research Symposium

UMM's Undergraduate Research Symposium is an annual spring event showcasing investigation, creative activity and
scholarship presented by students who have participated in independent research, capstone projects, or exploration with faculty, some through the Morris Academic Partners
or Undergraduate Research Opportunities financial stipend programs. Students interested in presenting at the Undergraduate Research Symposium should watch for a call for
submissions shortly after Winter Break.
National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research is an annual conference
featuring undergraduate research and scholarship from all disciplines. Visit their
website to
learn more about the organization; for details on this year's conference,
click "Proceedings" in the NCUR page's
left column of
links.
Minnesota Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting
The Minnesota Academy of Sciences hosts an annual
meeting where undergraduate students can present their research to a
broad audience. The gathering also allows Minnesotans involved in science
to meet their colleagues from academia, industry, and government and to
hear or present the results of research with a regional emphasis. The
April meeting rotates locations throughout the state.
American College Theater Festival
UMM students frequently participate in the American
College
Theatre Festival, a national theater program involving thousands of
students from colleges and universities nationwide. The festival
celebrates outstanding work produced in college theatre programs, provides
opportunities to develop skills, and recognizes new and experimental
works, especially those by students. To inquire about UMM's participation
in this year's festival contact the Office of the Humanities Division
(320-589-6251) and ask to speak with the current Theatre Discipline
coordinator.
National Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse
The National
Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse is a website sponsored by the
National Science Foundation and Missouri Western State College where
students can share manuscripts. Registration is free; manuscript
submission is fully automated.
