The University of Minnesota, Morris is located on the prairie of west central Minnesota, about 160 miles northwest of the Twin Cities on the edge of lake country. Morris, a community of about 5,000 people, is the educational hub of Stevens County, and boasts scenic bike paths, parks, supper clubs, an Italian café, and coffee shops—a popular venue for aspiring artists. The community's excellent hospital and health care facilities, family owned businesses, and state-of-the-art schools provide UMM students with exceptional opportunities for civic engagement, internships, and volunteerism.
