Don't be surprised to see Garrison Keillor, Ralph Nader, Maya Angelou, Loudan Wainwright III, or the folks from Mythbusters on campus. They're just a few examples of some of the big names that have visited UMM. Students help select visiting artists and speakers—when they're not taking center stage themselves in theatre productions, our renowned Jazz Fest, intercollegiate or intramural sports, clubs, campus governance, and other activities.

Each year, a student organization called the Campus Activities Council (CAC) hosts the Performing Arts Series, the Classic Film Festival, and various concerts and guest lectures. Students also help plan Homecoming and sponsor events and speakers through dozens of student organizations and clubs. Their efforts provide unforgettable experiences for the campus community and surrounding area, all at an affordable price (often free!).
