Courses in
the Natural Sciences

Whether you're intrigued by the earth or the stars, the ocean or the alps,
endangered species or renewable energy, there's a topic in Natural
Science you may wish to explore.
Natural Science is not a major or a discipline but rather a collection of
courses intended to enrich various undergraduate experiences. Some
students take these courses to prepare for careers in education or
medicine. Others seek to supplement their undergraduate research or field
work. Still more are simply fascinated by the subject matter examined in
a particular course.
Use the left navigational links to explore UMM's current Natural Science
courses and the faculty who teach them. And remember these words from
Jacques
Cousteau:
What is a scientist, after all? It is a curious man
looking through a keyhole, the keyhole of nature...
