Interested in graduate school? Our graduates are admitted into programs all over the country, from the nearby (the Twin Cities campus, U of Iowa, Iowa State, NDSU, UND) to the far reaches of the country, including Duke, Stanford, UC Riverside, Kansas State, the University of Washington, etc.

Interested in industry? UMM alumni hold positions at 3M, Waters, Boston Scientific, Beckman, and McKesson Scientific, just to name a few. The ACS has much helpful information and advice available at this website.

Interested in a career in the health sciences? UMM graduates have a well-deserved reputation for being well prepared for a successful career in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other health professions. UMM students have an excellent track record in being admitted to medical school at both the University of Minnesota, Duluth and at the Twin Cities, but our pre-meds have been admitted to medical schools all over the United States. Job Openings:

[Posted 2-5-09] Senior Laboratory Technician, Agvise Laboratories (Benson, MN). Work in an agricultural lab that is an industry leader in soil analysis, plant tissue, manure and water analysis. Make up chemical solutions and standards, perform lab analysis, repair and maintain equipment, maintain quality control, and train and supervise seasonal employees. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field. Experience working in a laboratory. Some experience with instrumentation.
