UMM Dance Ensemble

Since 1986 UMM students and Dance faculty have organized performances for the community. Every semester is highlighted by the Dance Ensemble's nearly sold out performances in Edson Auditorium of the Student Center. This self-sustaining student organization prides itself in allowing any student who presents themselves at the pre-show auditions to have a spot on the stage. Experienced dancers have a chance to choreograph and perform in their own dances or in dances choreographed by faculty, guests or other students.

The UMM Dance Ensemble also sponsors the John Vo Memorial Scholarship through a fund that was started in memory of one of it's most active members, John Minh Dung Vo. The Dance Ensemble makes annual contributions to this fund from the proceeds of it's performances. The sholarship is intended for students who are pursuing an arts discipline as one of their majors or minors at UMM. Contributions to this fund can be made by contacting UMM's office of Fund Development.
