Welcome to the English Discipline

Welcome to the home page of the English Discipline at the University of Minnesota, Morris. With eleven faculty and approximately 200 English majors, we are one of the largest and most vibrant disciplines at UMM. We are proud of the breadth and excellence of our program and course offerings, which range from college composition to creative writing to literary survey courses and senior seminars in special topics.

Additionally, the discipline routinely offers courses and special topics in writing, multicultural literature, gender-specific literature, and literary theory, to name a few. Students have opportunities to participate in international exchange programs, faculty research, service learning, and to gain experience through student publications on campus: the University Register and the Chronicle Alternative.
