UMM Fall Faculty Retreat
August 17-18, 2008

“Practicing Liberal Education in a Changing Environment.”

Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center
Alexandria, MN

The fall retreat will be held on Sunday, August 17 and Monday, August 18 at the Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN. This is a great opportunity for faculty to reconnect with one another at the end of summer, meet new colleagues, and gear up for Fall Semester.

Members of the FFR 2008 planning committee include Pareena Lawrence, Paula O'Loughlin, Tom Turner, Dave Roberts, Pam Solvie, Jeffrey Ratliff-Crain, Pam Gades, Barry McQuarrie, Troy Goodnough, Engin Sungur (Faculty Center Director) and Linda Pederson. This year's theme is “Practicing Liberal Education in a Changing Environment.” The three main sessions will be “Institutional Perspective,” “Student Perspective,” and “Faculty Perspective.”

Further details about the Fall Retreat, including registration materials, will be mailed to you soon. Please check your e-mail periodically during the summer for additional FFR 2008 information.
