I'm Bekah, a sophomore with a double major in French and political science. I won last year's French Poetry Contest at the intermediate level. I received a UMM study abroad scholarship and participated in the July in Paris program in July 2005. I work in the Alumni Relations and Annual Giving office as Judy Korn's communications assitant. I'm this year's communications director for Entre Nous,I have a position on AFRC, and I am active in the Student DFL. I'm hoping to attend law school after graduating from UMM in 2008. |

I'm Brianna. I have a double major in French and Elementary Ed. My area of concentration is middle level communication arts and literature (grades 5-8). I would like to find a job teaching French in middle or elementary school. I would also enjoy teaching upper level students English. I spent a school year teaching English to 5th graders in Le Mans, France. It was an excellent program because I received a salary; this was one of the only ways I could have afforded to spend a year in France. At UMM, I'm involved in Entre Nous, I'm a KUMM radio D.J., I tutor French students, and help out with the CAC - Performing Arts Series. |
This is a picture of Anna de Noailles (1876-1933) a prolific writer of French poetry and prose fiction, and the only woman writer of her time whose work was recognized by the Académie Française.
