FYS Faculty: The faculty for First-Year Seminar are all members of our campus community.  Most are regular teaching faculty.  Some are professionals on campus, such as our librarians and others. Current FYS faculty lists, FAQ sheet, and more available here.

Course Listing and Descriptions: Every year there are between 15 and 20 different topics explored in First-Year Seminar (IS 1001).  These run the gamut from "Food and Human Diversity" to "Human Diversity in Comic Books."  The brochure for each year's program lists all of these options with a few lines of description.

Syllabi: Every section of FYS has its own course outline that gives assignments for every class meeting.  The syllabi for the class sections can give you a better idea of the expectations from each section.
