Music. Whether you want to teach, perform, analyze, or just enjoy, UMM's Music Discipline provides opportunities for all students to celebrate and develop their appreciation for
this universally beloved art form.
Each year, the campus provides dozens of concerts for the UMM community and general public to enjoy, including recitals, UMM ensemble
performances,
student band coffee shop appearances and 'Battle of the Bands' competitions, and visits by renowned artists like George Winston, Loudon Wainwright III, Garrison Keillor, the California
Guitar
Trio, and the New York Theatre Ballet. Our performing ensembles tour the world, always returning in time for our nationally-acclaimed Jazz Fest each spring and UMM Band Festival each fall.
