Semester's Q & A

Now that we are in semesters, this page will summarize what has been going on in terms of discussions on new and old implementations. In particular, the proposed calendar for 2001-2005, whether to implement Fall Breaks or not, and statistical data for class schedules in academic year 1999-2000. |

The Adviser's Handbook provides information on specific topics related to the conversion, such as: student record issues, dispute resolution, requirements, quarter vs. semester programs, timelines, and workshops. | ||

The UMM Course Catalog for 1999-2001 is the online version of the published UMM Catalog. It was published in April 1999 and will not be updated until 2001. | ||
|
|
The Complete Course List (formerly called the Semester Transition Course Catalog) contains updated information for all semester courses on the Morris campus. This link goes to a database that is updated daily. | ||
|
|
The Supplement to the Semester Transition Course Catalog provides information about how quarter courses and sequences relate to semester courses and sequences. The supplement should be used with the Semester Transition Course Catalog or the on-line semester course database. | ||

The Student Handbook answers common questions about the semester conversion for both undergraduate and graduate/professional students. | ||

A full description of the General Education Program for Semesters approved by the Campus Assembly in June, 1997. | ||

Program Completion Plans allow students and advisers to plan for completion of either the quarter or semester requirements for any degree. The PCPs are also available in departmental offices. PCPs can be printed out and used in advising sessions. | ||

Planning worksheets are available here for both quarter and semester liberal/general education requirements on all campuses. | ||

Students can print out this planning worksheet and use it to plan their courses now, and through the semester transition. | ||
