At one time or another I have presented and published on and dabbled in the following topics within the field of Hispanism: Golden Age Spanish literature; literature by Spanish and Latin American women writers; Spanish and Latin American poetry; Brazilian, Portuguese and Lusophone African literature; testimonial literature; the short story genre; second language acquisition; use of advanced technologies and Service-Learning in the teaching of Spanish. As you can see, there are many opportunities for students to work with me on UROPs and Morris Academic Partnerships (MAPs).
I am married to Dave Aronson, the 22-year Director of Residential Life here at the University of Minnesota, Morris, an avid golfer and a private pilot. We have two children, James Jerald (14 years old) and Darcey Mae (12 years old). We enjoy reading, going to the movies and traveling. Dave and I have traveled together to the Bahamas, Morocco, France, Newfoundland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Argentina, most frequently Brazil and Spain and most recently Norway and Sweden.
