Women's Studies

The Women's Studies discipline is an interdisciplinary program housed within the Division of the Social Sciences. Majors just register with the Coordinator of women's Studies by the beginning of the junior year.

The discipline's objectives are to explore the history, position, and roles of women as well as the attitudes concerning them and to acquaint students with the changing determinants of women's situations.

The Women's Studies discipline encourages and supports internships, honors work, and individualized directed study.
