Women's Studies

The Women's Studies discipline is an interdisciplinary program housed within the Division of the Social Sciences. Majors must register with the Coordinator of women's Studies by the beginning of the junior year.

The discipline's objectives are to explore the history, position, and roles of women as well as the attitudes concerning them and to acquaint students with the changing determinants of women's situations.

We've put together a list of courses offered in Spring '09 [.pdf format] that fulfill major and minor requirements or count as electives.

The Women's Studies discipline encourages and supports internships, honors work, and individualized directed study.
