The Concert Choir, under the direction of Christina Armendarez, performs primarily a cappella choral works from all major periods of music literature. They perform several concerts on and off campus throughout the semester in addition to touring regionally, nationally, and internationally. The auditioned ensemble is comprised of undergraduate students with a variety of majors.
Auditions
The members of Concert Choir usually commit to both fall and spring semester enrollment. As a result, auditions primarily take place the week preceding the fall semester. Spring semester auditions will be held on an as needed basis the last week of fall semester orthe first few days of spring semester. The audition consists of vocalizing to determine range and voice type, pitch matching, and some sight reading.
