In industry, Morris alumni have moved into statistics, actuarial science, insurance, health services, consulting, telecommunication and technology, and transportation. Best Buy, Target IBM, AT&T, Unisys, Delta Airlines, Travelers, the Mayo Clinic, UPS, Federal Express and Lockheed-Martin have all hired graduates from the Morris Mathematics discipline. 35 percent of Morris mathematics alumni go onto math teaching careers.

Morris alumni have also taken positions with the Office of Naval Research, Argonne National Laboratory and the National Security Agency, working in cryptography, coding theory, mathematical modeling, optimization or engineering.
