The Chamber Orchestra is the primary performance ensemble available to the talented string and top wind players on Morris’s campus. Under the direction of Twin Cities chamber musician Dr. Joel Salvo, its members are exposed to challenging repertoire ranging from the Baroque to the Contemporary. Players receive a diverse performing experience through collaborations with the UMM Choir and Symphonic Winds in addition to the several chamber orchestra concerts given throughout the year. An audition consisting of select excerpts, a solo piece, and sight-reading is required for admittance. Membership is open to both Music and non-Music majors alike. Winds, Brass, and Percussion students must be enrolled in Symphonic Winds. Email Joel Salvo for more information.
