Summer Term at Morris provides an excellent opportunity for students to:
- accelerate degree completion;
- meet general education requirements (GER);
- make up lost credits;
- work while earning credits; and
- live in Morris for the summer!
May Session and Summer Session courses are open to students from other colleges and community members (some courses have prerequisites). And registration is easy!
Summer Term at the University of Minnesota, Morris, which includes May Session, Summer Session I, and Summer Session II, offers a learning environment in which students can realize their academic and intellectual potential. Morris’s qualified and enthusiastic faculty offer an exciting challenge through a variety of courses.

May Session: Monday, May 11–Friday, May 29
Summer Session I: Monday, May 18–Friday, June 19
Summer Session II: Monday, June 22–Friday, July 24
Summer Session I through Summer Session II: Monday, May 18-Friday, July 24
May Session is a special three-week session designed to provide opportunities for faculty and students to participate in unique courses and other learning experiences in a short, concentrated time frame.
Summer Sessions I and II provide opportunities for students to complete courses in a five-week time frame. Some courses are offered in a 10 week time frame, May 18-July 24, 2015.
Some courses are in the traditional classroom format, while others are offered online. Online Learning courses courses offer the same academic rigor as on campus courses using multimedia and web-based technologies.
