While the weather outside was frightful, the Guthrie Theatre's production of Charles Dickens' perennial favorite A Christmas Carol was delightful!  On Saturday, December 1, approximately 175 current UMM students, alumni, faculty and friends, braved the elements in true Minnesotan style to gather at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis for an elegant pre-performance reception which was followed by an exceptional and moving performance of the play.  While the earnest appearance of winter to the area hindered travel to some degree, the pristine snowfall also leant itself nicely to Dickens' Christmas tale and served to enhance the holiday mood for those of us who attended the event.
