Senior Legacy Project
Through the Senior Class Gift, graduates thank those that came before them for their contributions, ensure that current and future UMM students continue to receive outstanding educational opportunities, and take the first step in becoming part of a legacy of philanthropy at UMM. Founded with the Class of 2007, Senior Legacy is a program run by seniors for seniors, celebrating the experiences and accomplishments achieved as students, and working together to leave a permanent legacy to benefit current and future UMM students, the campus and community.
The Senior Legacy Gift Committee has the responsibility and privilege of selecting (along with senior class members input) campus-specific Class Gift Projects that embody the spirit of their entire class. Beginning in the fall of their senior year they work as a team to plan and organize the Senior Gift and inspire other graduates to give. The committee then unveils the project with a campaign kickoff for the upcoming year at the annual senior banquet, complimentary to all seniors, courtesy of the UMM Alumni Association, held in December.
By contributing to the Senior Legacy class gift and by participating in the senior legacy committee, students can build class spirit and set an example for alumni and current students. As soon to be alumni, it is now a privilege and responsibility to contribute to UMM and assure that your alma mater remains strong and continues to grow. Your gift helps set a higher standard of giving for future graduating classes. Participation is key to the success of the Senior Legacy Gift program. Your legacy will serve as a prominent force propelling UMM now and in the future.
Juniors and Seniors! If you are interested in accepting the challenge and joining the senior legacy committee, please contact Erin in Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at Schellin@morris.umn.edu.
