Special jazz enthusiast University of Minnesota President Robert Bruininks wished Doc Carlson well in his retirement, and announced a match to all dollars raised for the Jim "Doc" Carlson Jazz Fund. The West Central All Stars performed and student groups wowed the audience. Guest artists Robin Eubanks, trombone, Kenni Holmen, saxophone, and Adam Rogers, guitar played to an enthusiastic crowd.
