Senior Legacy Banquet

The University Of Minnesota, Morris Class of 2009 was honored at the Third Annual UMM Senior Banquet on Friday, December 12, 2008. Beginning with the class of 2007, the event has become a popular tradition at UMM held for members of the senior class and sponsored by the UMM Alumni Association. On the final day of classes of the fall semester seniors dressed in their finest, enjoyed live jazz music, and dined with friends.

The dinner was followed by a short program in which Chancellor Jacquie Johnson, and Carla Riley, Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving reminisced on this year’s senior class accomplishments at UMM. The night concluded with a speech by MSCA and Senior Class Legacy President, Patrick Chester inviting all seniors to participate in the Senior Class Legacy 2009. Students were asked to vote in which the majority will determine their senior class legacy and will be announced at the beginning of spring semester. Two options were presented for the Class of 2009 to leave their mark at UMM, tree planting or a large mural representing their time at Morris.
