Zenk '75 visits chemistry classes and presents seminar

Dr. John Zenk ’75 will speak to chemistry classes about his work and research and present a chemistry seminar on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. His presentation, “Development of Radiation Countermeasure Agents—It’s a HOT Topic!” is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Science 1020.
Zenk, a 1983 University of Minnesota Medical School and 1978 College of Pharmacy graduate, is chief medical and scientific officer at Humanetics Corporation, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on “discovery, development, and commercialization of proprietary, self-administered, bioactive compounds for disease prevention,” including Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS), other radiation-exposure related drugs, antibiotic resistant bacteria, Alzheimer’s disease, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.
