Swimming and diving at MSU-Moorhead Invitational
For Immediate Release: Dec 9, 2006 Morris, MN – The Cougar swimming and diving team traveled to Moorhead for the two-day MSU-Moorhead Invitational December 1st & 2nd.
Hallie Warneke (Fr. Elk River, MN) broke the school record in the 200 back-stroke with a time of 2:26.01.
Coach Dave Molesworth Said “We had ups and downs at this meet. Friday night was OK, Saturday morning we swam very flat, diving was very good for our first championship list on 1-meter and our first competition on 3-meter.”
He added, “Saturday’s finals were probably the best part of the meet because everyone started having fun and they just started swimming better. It was nice to see our team rally during the last session and really start learning to deal with swimming back to back events and days just like what they are going to have to deal with at the Liberal Arts Championship."
