For Immediate Release: December 11, 2006 Morris, MN – Three school records were established Friday night at the Cougar pool as the University of Minnesota-Morris hosted Concordia-College in their final dual before the holiday break.

The Cobbers won the dual meet 130.50 to 88.50.

Kim Radtke (So. Albany, MN) set a new record in the 1000 Free with a time of 13:10.63. The old record was 13:15.14 set in 2005 by Megan McLennen. Her time was good for third place in the vent.

In the 100 backstroke, Shilo Parisian (So. Maple Grove, MN) won the event with a time of 1:08.08, breaking the old record of 1:09.07 set by Kate Beyer in 2005.

Kaitlyn Olson, (Fr. Shoreview, MN) set a new record in the six dive 3-meter completion with a score of 171.90, good for second place. The previous record was set by Lauren Trapp in 2005 with a score of 161.93.

Head Coach Dave Molesworth said “We had an outstanding meet there were several swimmers that dropped more than one second from last weekends meet. The whole team did a great job of getting behind their teammates and I was very happy to see people feeding off each others enthusiasm. I am thrilled about what this means for the end of the year because we are just over half way done with our season and people are swimming faster or close to as fast as last year at the end of the season and they are broken down on top of it all.”

The Cougars are off until January 12th when they host MSU-Moorhead in a dual meet at the Cougar pool.
