
Warneke, Radtke sets new school records for Cougar swimming and diving team

For Immediate Release: January 13, 2007 Morris, MN – Hallie Warneke (Elk River, MN) set a new school record in the 200 backstroke and Kim Radtke also set a new mark in the 1650 freestyle in Friday’s Cougar swimming and diving meet with Minnesota State-Moorhead at the Cougar pool.
Warneke swam a 2:25.17 in the 200 back-stroke to take first place and break the Cougar school record of 2:33.14 set by Shilo Parisian last year.
In the 1650 freestyle event, Kim Radtke (So. Albany, MN) had a time of 21:46.90 to break the mark of 21:49.39 set by Jennifer Shaw last year.
Kristine Ertl (Jr. Cokato, MN) won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.85 and freshman Kaitlyn Olson (Shoreview, MN) took second in the 1 meter diving competition with a score of 308.80, just four points behind the Dragons Samantha Jipson first place score of 312.90.
Shilo Parisian (So. Maple Grove was second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.42.
The Cougars in Minneapolis next Saturday to take part in the St. Kate’s Invitational at the College of St. Catherine.
