Fayden named UMAC baseball POW

For Immediate Release: May 8, 2007 Morris, MN – University of Minnesota, Morris senior first baseman Joe Fayden has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) baseball player of the week.

Fayden (Great Falls, MT) collected 14 hits in 24 at bats (.583) in five games for the Cougars last week. He had four doubles, three homeruns and one triple as well as 12 RBI and against Crown hit for the cycle with a homerun, triple, single, double and walk. He added another two bagger and homerun in the game and finished with nine runs batted in.

It is the second POW award for Fayden. He also earned the conference player of the week the week of March 12-18.
