UMAC men's basketball all-conference awards announced

For Immediate Release: February 26, 2008 Morris, MN – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) 2007-08 men’s basketball all-conference teams have been announced.

Three players from the Cougar men’s team earned all-conference honors.

Named first team all-conference for UMM were Phil Allen (Jr. Clarissa, MN) and Will Jenson (Sr. Eau Claire, WI). Honorable mention honors went to Eric Dalbey (So, Mora, MN).

Allen led the Cougars and the UMAC in scoring averaging 18.0 ppg. He tallied 469 points in the 2007-08 season to give him 852 in his career at Minnesota, Morris.

Jenson was second on the team in scoring at 15.7 ppg and that was fifth in the league. He also led the Cougars in rebounding at 6.0 ppg.

Eric Dalbey was the third member of the Cougar team to average in double figures at 15.3 ppg. That was also sixth in the UMAC for the year.

Minnesota, Morris was 14-12 overall for the season and finished in a four-way tie for second place in the UMAC at 9-5. The Cougars, Martin Luther, Bethany Lutheran and St. Scholastica all finished 9-5 in league play this past season.
