
Two 4th quarter touchdown's lifted the Northwestern College Eagles to a 28-14 win over Minnesota, Morris in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Action @ Reynolds Field St. Paul Saturday.
The league leading Eagles took a 7-0 lead with 13:10 remaining in quarter number one.
Minnesota, Morris came right back to even the score at 7-7 with 6:50 to go in the quarter on a Robert Koranda (Fr. Becker, Minn).
Northwestern reclaimed the lead at 14-7 with 1:40 to play in the half and that would be the score as the teams headed to the break.
After a scoreless third period, NWC went up by two touchdowns at 21-7 with 7:09 to play in the game.
The Cougars made it a one possession game with 3:41 to play in the fourth quarter as senior Matt Fragodt (Becker, Minn.)hauled in career touchdown pass number 25 on a 15 yard completion from Ted Hoffman (Fr. Paynesville, Minn.) one yard scamper to make the final 21-14.
The Cougars had 249 yards in total offense, NWC finished with 350.
Robert Koranda finished with 130 yards rushing unofficially on 34 carries.
Minnesota, Morris is now 2-4, 1-3 in the UMAC.
