
St. Scholastica scored once in the first half and made that goal stand as the saints defeated Minnesota, Morris 1-0 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) soccer action in Duluth Saturday.
The loss ended the Cougars seven game winning streak.
CSS out shot Minnesota, Morris 14-11 and had a one shot advantage in shots on goal at 8-7.
Tyler Simpson (So. Broomfield, Colo.) had seven saves in the net for the Cougars.
With the win, St. Scholastica takes over sole possession of first place in the UMAC at 5-1, UMM drops to 9-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
