
Rebounding from a tough road loss the day before, the Cougars men's soccer team rebounded with a 3-2 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC)victory Saturday at Bethany Lutheran.
Kelsey Duerr (Jr. Spring Lake Park, Minn) put UMM on the score board just over four minutes into the game, with Brent Diggs (Jr. Champlin, Minn).
Diggs then tallied his 13th goal of the season to make it a 2-0 game in favor of the Cougars. Patrick O'Connor (Jr. Ham Lake, Minn.) added the assist and that gave Minnesota, Morris the lead at the break.
After Bethany cut the deficit to 2-1, Brendan Harper (So. Blaine, Minn)scored the game winning goal t 57:48 on an assist from Brent Diggs for a 3-1 UMM advantage.
BLC added the games final goal just under one minute later, to make the final 3-2.
The Cougars out shot Bethany 34-8 and 14-4 in shots on goal.
With the win, Minnesota, Morris is now 13-3-0 and 8-2-0 in the UMAC and remain in scond place in the league.
They will host Northland College St. Scholastica this coming Saturday October 25th & 26th at 2:00 pm each day.
