
For Immediate Release May 14, 2008 Morris, MN – University of Minnesota, Morris Head Men’s basketball Coach Paul Grove has announced that Kyle Bruns has announced his intentions to enroll at UMM and play basketball for the Cougars beginning in the 2008-2009 season.
Bruns, a 6-6 senior post player, led the Brandon-Evansville Chargers with 19.7 points per game and 11.2 rebounds per game. He tallied an amazing 20 career double doubles for the Chargers. He was recognized for his great play as a member of the Little Eight All-Conference team.
“We feel very fortunate when the best area players come to the University of Minnesota, Morris” said Grove. “As good as Kyle is already, I think he is just scratching the surface of his true basketball talent and will be an excellent college basketball player. He will be a tough match up for opponents with his smooth post moves and his soft outside touch.”
Bruns joins two other Minnesota standout basketball players, Mitch Primus of Swanville, MN and Clay Fisher of Pine City, MN who have announced intentions to enroll at Minnesota, Morris this fall and play basketball for the Cougars.
