The Cougar volleyball team cruised to their second wi of the season wit ha convincing three game sweep of North Central University in the final game of the Cougar Triangular.
Minnesota, Morris won the first set 25-14 and then in the second set had a .200 hitting percentage in a 25-16 win. The Cougars won the third set 25-16 to gain the sweep.
The Cougars had 13 ace serves in the match, with sophomore Sam Pfannenstein (White Bear lake, Minn.) picking up five aces. Briana Czer (Sr. New Ulm, Minn, and Casey Stott (So. Onamia, Minn each had three).
Czer added a team high nine kills with only five errors in the three sets and 13 digs. Shannon Bosek (Fr. Lowry, Minn.) added eight kills.
Pfannenstein had 16 assists and nine digs as well for Minnesota, Morris.
For the match, UMM (2-1) had 32 kills and a .177 hitting percentage.
