The Cougar men have been on a streak of close games of late and Tuesday night was no different. They trailed North Central by just three points at half after only shooting 31% from the floor. The Cougars turned that around in the second half by increasing their shooting percentage to 42% while limiting the Rams to just 33%. Daniel Fragodt had a double-double going 10 rebounds and 19 points to also lead the Cougars in points. Kendall Proell , and Zach Meyer both contributed 13 points and 9 and 6 rebounds respectively. Mitch Primus continues making his presence known on the court with 3 more blocked shots.
Head Coach Paul Grove said,"It was a very tough road game, but we hung in there long enough to get the win. We rebounded well in the second half and limited them to one shot when we really needed some defensive stops. We are very disappointed to lose Joey Fragodt for the rest of the season. He played very well in his short time with us hitting some big shots."
The Cougars take on two UMAC opponents this weekend with Crown on Friday night and Northwestern Saturday at the P.E. Center. The Saturday game on the 24th is Take a Kid To the Game day.
