Hall of Fame Honor for Cougar men's basketball Coach Paul Grove

For Immediate Release: October 10, 2008 Morris, MN – University of Minnesota, Morris Head Men’s Basketball coach Paul Grove and his 1997-98 Mayville State University men’s basketball team will be inducted into the Mayville State University Hall of fame on October 11th in Mayville, North Dakota. Grove, NDCAC (North Dakota Athletic Collegiate Athletic Conference) coach of the year that season, led the Comets to the NAIA Elite Eight national tournament and a 23-7 overall record that season. Current Cougar head women’s basketball coach and Paul’s brother Tim Grove, was an assistant coach with that team and former Cougar men’s assistant Aaron Thompson, a current assistant men’s basketball coach at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa was an All-Conference player on that squad.
