Cougar men's soccer looks for their second straight post-season title

Posted by Brian Curtis on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008
The defending Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's soccer post-season tournament champions—the University of Minnesota, Morris—are back to defend their 2007 crown.

The Cougars won four of their last five games of the regular season, including a pair of wins, 3-1 and 3-2, over Presentation College last Thursday and Saturday.

The two victories assured UMM the number two seed and the right to host a semi-final round game at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Cougars will face Presentation College for a third straight game. It marks the second consecutive season the two teams have met in their final two regular season games and then in the first round of the tournament.

Top seed and regular season champ St. Scholastica will host number four seed Northwestern College, also at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4.
