University of Minnesota, Morris men's soccer player Brent Diggs (JR, Champlin, Minn/UW Green Bay) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas Division III All Region Team as a third-team recipient, it was announced on Wednesday. Diggs is UMM’s first-ever NSCAA/Adidas Division III All Region selection for the program.
The All-Region award caps an off season of multiple honors for Diggs, who also earned he UMAC Player of the Year, 1st Team All Conference and UMAC All Tournament Team awards this season.
A forward, Diggs was selected as the UMAC Player of the Year. Diggs scored a league-high 15 goals in UMAC games this year while leading the Cougars to a 11-3 conference record (18-4 overall). He finished the season with a career high 19 goals, 11 assists and 49 points.
Under their only head coach in 3 years, Christian DeVries, UMM finished 18-4 overall, 11-3 in UMAC play and won their 2nd straight UMAC Tournament Championship.
