W-Ten:Cougars women's tennis wins just one match in loss to NWC

Jeri Belting (Jr. Blaine, MN) was a 6-4, 6-4 winner in the number three singles match and that was the only win for the Cougars as Northwestern College picked up a 8-1 win in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) women’s tennis action.

Rachel Mathiowetz (Sr. Sleepy Eye, MN) forced a third set in the number two singles match. After loosing the opening set 6-0, Rachel evened the match a one set apiece with a 6-4 win in the second set, but lost 10-3 in the third set.

The Cougars (2-10, 1-8 UMAC) travel to Duluth for their final regular season match this Sunday against St. Scholastica.
