At the annual Roy Griak Invitational, UMM had never had a runner finish in the top 50. This morning in St. Paul, Minnesota, amidst a swath of runners 500 strong, first year student Linda Keller placed fifth (highest placing freshman in the field), twelve spots ahead of her nearest conference rival.
The Morris women placed 24th in a 37 team field. The men 31st out of 35 teams.
