Continuing a strong performance across all fall sports, three Morris student athletes were named players of the week in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.

Kelsey Duerr (men's soccer/Spring Lake Park, Minn.)
Over the past weekend, Duerr, a senior midfielder, scored four goals on 15 shots, while handing out three assists in two straight UMM shutouts over Northwestern and Crown.

Linda Keller (women's cross country/Paynesville, Minn.)
Keller, a first year runner, finished fifth in a 500-runner field at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the highest first year finisher. In UMM's history at this race, the Cougars had never placed a runner in the top 50.

Nathan Lund (football/Cyrus, Minn.)
In a difficult 22-16 loss to St. Scholastica, the junior safety put in a valiant effort on defense with 10 tackles, a forced fumble and two interceptions, one of which he returned 93 yards for a touchdown (a school record).
