Needing two big wins at home last weekend, the Cougar volleyball team pulled through on the backs of some exceptional individual efforts. Two of those players were named players of the week in the UMAC.
Jordan Olerud (Jr./Redwood Falls, Minn.)
Olerud, the offensive player of the week, has boosted the Cougars this season with her all-around play. Last week she recorded 3.57 kills per set, while boasting a .396 attacking percentage and 21 digs in victories over St. Scholastica and Northland College.
Natalie Thomas (So./Champlin, Minn.)
Named setter of the week for a second time, Thomas played an all-around great weekend as well, tallying set averages of 10.2 assists, 2.71 digs and 1.14 aces in wins over Northland and St. Scholastica.
